About

Dennis Aigner

Dennis Aigner (Bass)

Dennis has been a semi-professional singer since his days at UCLA, performing as a soloist, in choral groups and in small ensembles. He has sung and played bass and guitar in a rock and roll band for over 30 years, but his greatest musical passion is for close harmony quartet arrangements of jazz standards and show tunes. He is thrilled to be part of South Coast Quartet and working with three talented, dedicated and shorter singers who also love great music. A retired Ph.D. economist, Dennis held administrative positions at both UC Irvine (as Dean of the School of Business) and UC Santa Barbara (as Dean of the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management).

April Allison

April Allison (Alto)

April is a mom, a wife, the owner of two successful businesses-and she sings! Her singing voice has been a true gift-and sometimes a much-needed saving grace-in her life. She auditioned for the esteemed Citrus College Singers after high school and performed with them for over two years. (It was while performing with the group that April discovered being a great singer doesn't necessarily mean you're a great dancer!) She was the lead singer in several bands and almost moved to Nashville in her mid-twenties to pursue her dream of making it big in the music business. Instead, she met her husband and chose to start a family and a business. And then she completely chickened out. Music was absent from her life for a decade until she just couldn't stand it anymore-she had to sing! And now, she does! Although her life is full of family, friends, and business, she always makes time for making music with Perry, Ginger and Dennis.

Perry holds a degree in music from Chapman University, and earned his Master's Degree at the University of Southern California. His performance experience covers a wide range of musical styles, from the Celebrant's role in Leonard Bernstein's "Mass" to singing barbershop harmony at Disneyland (http//www.dapperdans.com).
